Encourage, Educate, Preserve and Promote BLACK FOLK ART QUILTING, depicting the African American historical and contemporary culture from the African diaspora.
·Encourage — Inspire and support Black Folk Art Quilt Artists, and develop public understanding and appreciation of Black Folk Art Quilting.
·Educate — Raising the knowledge level of the distinctive cha

racteristics of Black Folk Art Quilting thru workshops, exhibitions, and educational activities.
·Preserve — Documenting and ensuring that Black Folk Art Quilting has a place in the tradition of art quilting for futurity. Promote — Instilling a sense of pride in ourselves and our Black Folk Art Quilting heritage through community activities.
