50-Year Reunion, Norte Del Rio High School Class of '62

Re-posting per a request from Peetz: my 6th grade class at Althea B. Smythe Elementary School. In 1956, my family moved from a small town in Utah to Northgate which was across the street from Gardenland and across the levee and railroad tracks from North Sac. It was culture shock for me, but some of these guys became good friends to me, especially Rudy Rodriguez, Mike Kiley, Bert Berry, Jerry Doolin, David Moreno, and Benny Lujan. Other faces are so familiar to me, but I just cannot remember their names.

Nice set of photos of North Sacramento main drag architecture where I went to high school. Scroll down for most of the pics. I have a lot of memories of riding my bike from the relative isolation of Northgate next to the vast expanse of the Natomas farmland to my high school as well as to North Sac for roller skating, bowling, a movie, a burger, etc. Having moved from a very small town in the 6th grade, North Sac seemed like the "big city" to me.
