Educational enrichment is as an important factor in the life of the incarcerated as is anything else. One of the problems that incarcerated face is that there is little or no educational enrichment provided by correctional facilities. New, usable, and beneficiary knowledge provides the incarcerated with this much-needed enrichment. When we enrich the environment, or as I like to say populate the environment with the tools of success, we then provide the convicted and confined with tools that nullify the debilitating effects that prison environments are designed produce.
The time will come when we at FSII are going to ask each of you to do something to help those who have been forgotten. We will need the help, support and care of all of you to be the boots or the ground, the light in the darkness, and the voice in this soundless void that will be the foundation to restructure the paradigm of how we as a society choose to incarcerate our citizens. You have an obligation when you are praying and using Arabic in acts of worship (عبادة) to make use of the language properly. Many of my students would say that I was trying to make them sound like an Arab when I demanded that they give each Arabic letter it’s right (correct pronunciation). My response would always be “you don’t need to sound like an Arab, but you do need to sound like you are speaking Arabic.”
As salaamu alaikum students and followers. The Forgotten Scholars page will be a lot more active in the coming future in sha Allah. It is our objective to post useful and meaningful content daily. While the post will be directed toward Islamic learning, be certain that they will be useful to all who desire to improve their lives. Should there be any volunteers out there who would like to help with the page such input would be welcomed.
There needs to be a renewed focus on learning the Arabic language and more specifically an understanding of Sarf
It is critical for the Muslin with the time and ability to learn the language of Quran. And He or She must learn it to the extent that He or She can read the book of Allah عز وجل.
What must be understood as an absolute truth, is that the undertaking of acquiring knowledge is noble, laudable and essential to change one's condition for the better.
