Thank you to both of these small business owners that help us celebrate our community, one story at a time.

TOGETHER we raised $9,450 this year; the most ever raised in one day and almost $1,000 more than last year. Every penny will help build a classroom for art/vocational education at ES Gasiza, and also put a few finishing touches on the Gitabage health center. Faculty, administrators, and district leaders are thrilled, and thanks go to every musician, donor, and volunteer who made it possible.

We welcomed a group of Cavalaters back to campus last weekend to celebrate the start of summer. Head of High School Mr. Wells served up hamburgers to a group of more than 35 alumni, alumni parents, and current and former faculty. This annual picnic is for all ages, and we were joined by a few future Cavaliers who were checking out the playground, as well as alumni from the class of 1977 (who are approaching their 50 reunion!) all the way up to more recent graduates from the class of 2025.

Our High School Awards Assembly in May celebrated the varied and exciting accomplishments of so many award winners with their peers and teachers.

For his extraordinary work in the classroom and his inspirational work across our community, the High School Faculty Award was proudly presented to High School English Department Chair, Jason Hinojosa. A member of our community who believes deeply in the power of compassionate education.

Congrats to our award winners, and to all our high school students & faculty on all their hard work this school year!

Our FOCS (Families of Color, Sacramento) End-of-Year Celebration was truly a special time to come together, share space, and celebrate the strength and joy of our community.

Congratulations to our graduates! The destinations ahead are exciting, but even more inspiring are the habits of mind and heart you developed during your time at Country Day. We can't wait to see where your journey leads next.

This moment shines! Celebrating our 8th graders' individual growth and personal excellence in so many different areas. They close an important chapter, but move forward prepared to begin their high school journey with confidence and purpose.

Middle School Drama & English Teacher, Jane McGinnes, was presented the Daniel R. Kopf Middle School Faculty Award. Whether on the stage or in the classroom, Jane fosters a genuine sense of belonging for every student. Through her kindness, empathy, and unwavering support, she creates an environment where students feel safe to be themselves, share their ideas, and take risks without fear of judgment.

Congratulations to our 5th Graders as they celebrate their promotion today! It's always so special to honor each student's meaningful Lower School journey, reflect on all that's been accomplished, and lean into the excitement of stepping into Middle School.

Congratulations to 4th grade teacher, Pam Livesey, who won our Barbara Ore Faculty Award for her incredible contributions to our community. With passion, empathy, and unwavering care, she creates a classroom where every child feels seen, heard, and empowered.
