Exactly one year ago today, the City of West Sacramento officially proclaimed June 6, 2025, as MILE Preschool Day! 🎉

We were deeply honored to be recognized for 20 years of serving children and families in our community. What began as a dream has grown into a place where countless little learners have laughed, learned, grown, and prepared for their next chapter.

To all of the families who have entrusted us with their children over the years—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your trust, support, and partnership mean everything to us.

Let me tell you about Sullivan Hargrove, MILE Preschool Class of 2008!

Over the past 18 years since her promotion from MILE Preschool, we’ve had the privilege of watching her grow through every chapter of life — from her adventures at BWI to Natomas Charter School and beyond.

One of her favorite MILE memories was receiving a special jar filled with photos and treats during the midst of the pandemic when she graduated. Even during one of the hardest seasons in the world, we made sure she knew something important… MILE never forgets its babies.

From the very beginning, we promised our children and families that we would stand beside them and support them through this thing called life — and Sullivan is a beautiful example of that promise.

It’s hard to believe it’s been 18 years since I was her Pre-K teacher… and look at us now! Today, she is my hairstylist, and I couldn’t be prouder of the incredible woman she has become. Watching our MILE babies grow into successful, kind, and talented adults is one of the greatest blessings of this journey.

Our MILE Preschool, LLC very own Mr. Jerad has entered a cooking competition… and if you know Mr. Jerad, you know this is SO much bigger than just food! ❤️

He pours his heart into everything he does — from loving on our MILE families to sharing his famous sliders, gumbo, and birria with our tribe! Cooking is one of the many ways he brings people together, and now he’s taking that passion to the next level. 👨‍🍳🔥

But this contest isn’t just about winning money… it’s about purpose. It’s about being the best dad he can be for his beautiful girls and showing them what it looks like to chase your dreams with heart, grit, and love.

We are so proud of you, Mr. Jerad Nuttall! Thank you for always serving our community with love, laughter, and AMAZING food! Let’s all cheer him on and wish him the BEST of luck!!!

1st Rare Comic Book Fundraiser

Thank you to the Russell family — Grayson (Ms. Danielle’s program) and Gwendolyn (Ms. Janice’s Pre‑K program) — owners of Funaticals: Collection with a Cause, for donating an incredible assortment of unique comic books to our school community.

This generous family owns a warehouse full of collectibles and chose to donate a variety of Marvel graphic novels for our 1st Annual MILE Preschool Book Fundraiser.

Please note: These books are not intended for preschoolers. They are perfect for siblings, parents, and grownups who love Marvel stories — especially Spider‑Man, Avengers, and Black Panther. Many of the donated books are Omnibus or Complete Saga editions, prized for collecting entire story arcs in one hardcover volume. These typically retail for $100–$160, making this donation especially meaningful. These are great gifts so put in any offer (within reason) and the book is yours!!!

How Our 1st Annual Book Fundraiser Works

1) If you see an Omnibus or Complete Saga volume you’d like, simply make a donation of any amount. While these books are high‑value items, any donation is appreciated.
Send your donation via Venmo to and include the title of the book you are claiming. Pick it up at MILE Preschool!

All funds raised will support our Family Day Picnic and End‑of‑Year celebrations.
