Sacramento City Unified School District’s School Readiness program offers playgroups for children ages 0-3 years of age. Playgroup teachers plan developmentally appropriate activities at 6 locations throughout Sacramento, where young children can have the opportunity to socialize with their peers and families. Teachers provide developmental screenings for children, share information and resources
, and help guide parent-child interactions that build strong connections and facilitate learning. Parents have an opportunity to interact with each other in addition to learning about community agencies that offer services to families. SCUSD’s playgroups are non-income based, and open to anyone residing within district boundaries. This is the official page for SCUSD's School Readiness Playgroups. Postings and comments are monitored on a regular basis. Those of an inappropriate nature or containing information unrelated to official school business will be deleted.
