Gain this specialized experience and more with a master's in Communication Studies. In our award-winning program, you can specialize in the theory and practice of various areas of communication such as: health, intercultural, interpersonal, instructional, media, organizational, political, and rhetorical communication. Classes are scheduled in the evening to accommodate working professionals. The 30-unit degree takes approximately two years. Undergraduate degree in Communication not required.

Amazing news! Our program is receiving the 2024 Outstanding Master's Degree Program award from the National Communication Association Master's Education Section! This award "recognizes a Master's degree program that demonstrates excellent quality in developing research, teaching, and mentoring students in their personal and professional growth."
Congratulations to our alumni, current students, and faculty!
And if anyone is looking to join our OUTSTANDING program, the Spring 2025 deadline was extended for a few more days to September 30. The next application target is January 15 (for priority review) and March 1 (final) to start in Fall 2025.
