Cancellation of October 1st Picnic

We at Sacramento Assyrian Club, deeply sorry to hear about the tragic event that has affected the Assyrian Nation. Our sincerest condolences go out to everyone who has been impacted by this heartbreaking incident.

I am writing to you today with a heavy heart to share some unfortunate news regarding the upcoming picnic scheduled for October 1st.

As you may be aware, recent event in Iraq and within our Assyrian community have deeply impacted our community. It is a difficult time for all of us, and our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by these challenging circumstances. In light of the current situation and out of respect for the emotions and safety of our members, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the picnic.

We understand that the picnic is an event we all look forward to each year, providing an opportunity for us to come together, connect, and celebrate our shared heritage. However, given the circumstances, we believe it is crucial to prioritize the well-being of our community members above all else.

Please know that this decision was made after careful consideration and with the utmost concern for everyone's peace of mind. We understand that this news may be disappointing, but we believe it is the most responsible course of action at this time.

Despite the cancellation of the picnic, we want to assure you that our commitment to fostering a strong and supportive community remains unwavering. We are exploring alternative ways to stay connected and support one another during these challenging times. If you have any suggestions or ideas, please share them with us. Your input is invaluable, and we are open to exploring all possibilities to keep our community spirit alive.

Happy Father's Day to all the Assyrian fathers out there! Today, we celebrate the men who have dedicated their lives to providing for their families, teaching their children important values, and being a guiding light in their lives.

To all the fathers who have sacrificed their own wants and needs for the sake of their children's happiness and well-being, we thank you. Your strength, wisdom, and unwavering love inspire us to be better people every day.

As an Assyrian, I am proud to be part of a community where fatherhood is held in such high regard. Our fathers have passed down their traditions and customs from generation to generation, instilling in us a deep sense of pride in our heritage.

So today, let us take a moment to appreciate the Assyrian fathers in our lives. To those who have passed on, may their memories continue to live on through us. And to those who are still with us, may you be blessed with health, happiness, and many more years of fatherhood. Happy Father's Day!

On behalf of myself and the Sacramento Assyrian Club family, our sincere condolences to the Assyrian nation about hearing the sad news of the passing of Mr. Atour Khnanisho.

Mr. Khnanisho, the past Parliament member in Iran representing Assyrians, had dedicated his life to Assyrians for decades. My thoughts and prayers to his family members.

Assyrians lost one of its greatest leader. Rest in eternal peace honorable Atour Khnanisho, thank you for being a great role model.
