In 2010, the nursing program began moving from cramped facilities in El Dorado Hall to more spacious facilities in the newly renovated Folsom Hall. In 2009, the School of Nursing concluded a celebration of its 50th Anniversary. From the initial 38 undergraduate students taught by three faculty, the School of Nursing is now comprised of over 550 undergraduate, graduate, and post-master’s students taught by 64 full-time and part-time faculty.

The School of Nursing mourns the passing of Dr. Sheila Holcomb. She was a passionate advocate who taught community health and school nursing courses with us for several years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations go to the Alzheimer’s Association.
