UPDATED - Sacramento SHPE’s Engagement Point System recognizes member involvement throughout the year and provides opportunities to earn rewards through participation. Active Members can track points by submitting event attendance and activities through the blue QR code, and submit membership/dues payment confirmation through the orange QR code (multiple submissions are allowed for point logging).

Points are awarded for activities such as socials, study sessions, tutoring, uploading old exams, general meetings, bringing new members, volunteering, and participating in elections. Engagement points begin tracking once you become an Active Member.

At the end of the cycle, the Active Member with the highest engagement points may receive sponsorship support for the next SHPE National Convention (registration and flight). Active Members who earn 40+ points will also be entered into a raffle for additional National Convention travel support. The decision will be announced in mid-July, and all awards require SHPE National membership under our chapter and Active Member status.

In honor of Women’s History Month, join El Centro Serna and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) for a conversation celebrating and uplifting the experiences of Latinas in STEM.
We are looking for Latina women in STEM who are interested in sharing their journeys, challenges, and successes with others on campus. This is a space to connect, share stories, and discuss ways we can continue supporting and uplifting one another in STEM.
