Locating Dynamics and Subterranean Consulting Group were glad to exhibit at another University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business Innovation Forum at IBM Research Almaden Center in San Jose, CA this week.

The closed forum sessions are always insightful and I consider myself fortunate to be invited to learn from industry leaders on such an intimate setting and showcase our expertise.

At this forum, we showcased Dynamo, our LiDAR-equipped robot dog that can carry the Optimal Ranging, Inc. GEMINI Drone sensor array for both UAV aerial and land-based drone EM mapping of buried infrastructure. is glad to be exhibiting at the California Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety Dig Safe Board meetings in Sacramento yesterday and today. Adam had to head to another event today with Dynamo, our Lidar-equipped robot dog that can carry an EM mapping payload, but if you’re there today stop by our booth and say hi to Courtney!

Gracing the Showroom stage at South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa today had me feeling a little bit like Elvis Presley, but I’m not sure which version... I kept the rhinestones to a minimum and left my cape at home, so maybe it’s the earlier version? (Then again, every time I get to talk about locating technologies is always a treat, so maybe it was just that.)
A special thanks to Grant DuBois and INSTRUMENT TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION and all the folks at Tri-State Seminar for a great show and a fantastic week! And especially to Charles Folashade Jr for the presentation pics!

Locating Dynamics had a great week training a local water agency on 3 different technologies; electro-magnetic (EM), ground-penetrating radar (GPR) and RTK locators for utility mapping! There isn’t one technology that can find all material types in all site conditions and it’s a best practice to deploy multiple types to paint the best picture of what’s beneath the surface!

Current course offerings include; EM, GPR, Acoustic, RTK locators and drone mapping.

The second Locating Dynamics location in Waukesha, WI kicked things off this past week with 2 days of electro-magnetic (EM) pipe and cable locator training and 2 days of ground-penetrating radar (GPR) training with David Neira and Adam Zeciri!

Our NULCA accredited locator training classes are now being scheduled at our offices in California and Wisconsin, or at your site on your facilities!

We train on all brands of equipment and specialize in EM, GPR, Acoustic, SPAR, RTK Locators and Drone Data Capture. Custom training courses can be designed and tailored to your needs upon request.

Locating Dynamics and Subterranean Consulting Group had a great time exhibiting and sponsoring the raffle at today’s Nevada Regional Common Ground Alliance (NRCGA) Silver Shovel Award ceremony today. Congratulations to C and S Company on being the recipients for having zero at-fault damages in 2024!
