Our Seventh-grade trip to Ashland, Oregon, is always a highlight of the year. In late May, students traveled to the Ashland Shakespeare Festival, where they experienced A Midsummer Night’s Dream and the musical Come From Away.

Students stayed together in cozy tent cabins at Willow Ranch, sharing meals, games, and laughter. Although it rained during their visit, trips like these, filled with art, community, and adventure, create lasting memories for students at Sacramento Waldorf School.

Our Eighth Grade students' end-of-year trip to Monterey Bay was filled with wonderful adventures! Students tent-camped together by night and explored the area by day, including kayaking on the ocean, gliding down sand dunes, visiting the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, and the world-renowned aquarium.

Sacramento Waldorf School offers a developmentally aligned, experiential, and academically rich approach to education.

From handcrafted bookbinding to expressive life drawings, colorful acrylic paintings, clay sculptures, and bold block paintings, every piece created during our fourth quarter at the High School was beautiful and unique!

This week at Sacramento Waldorf School, our Ninth through Eleventh Graders shared their creativity at the High School art show for our community to enjoy.

Pedaling into summer! Our Sixth Grade students wrapped up their school year with a 15-mile round-trip adventure along the American River Parkway to William B. Pond Park. Their wonderful teacher and fellow cyclist, Nicole Fields, led the way, with parent helpers supporting the ride from start to finish. What a joyful way to celebrate the end of the year together!

The last day of Lower School is marked by a truly beautiful and memorable tradition. Our Seniors begin in the Kindergarten yard, then walk through each grade, where they are greeted with songs, verses, and flowers from students along the way.

Their journey continues into the High School, where they are welcomed with song once more. At the end of the procession, High School faculty and staff line up to honor each Senior with a flower, creating a heartfelt moment of recognition and reflection.

The Seniors then gather on the stairs beneath the canopy, standing before the full school community to recite the bell-ringing verse all together.

As the bell rings, the Lower School is dismissed for the summer. A special thank you to Dena Malon for her care and leadership of our Lower School this year!

This year’s Waldorf Cup is more than a prize; it is crafted from a reclaimed oval dish and a cylinder vase made by former students. This one-of-a-kind collaborative piece was brought to life with lush green elements designed by Tenth Grade student, Albert Bocharov. The whimsical details, including the gnomes, logo, and flag, were created by our talented Fine & Practical Arts Teacher, Michelle Gallardo.

It’s a beautiful tribute to our golf fundraiser and a celebration of the creativity and spirit that keeps Waldorf magic alive in our community. Thank you, friends, for making this school possible!

Join the fun. Registration is still open, and yes, you could win a Million Dollars! At the event, grab a $50 raffle ticket for a chance to try for a Million Dollars. At the end of playing your round of golf, we will draw 5 lucky winners who will get a shot to make a hole-in-one!
