Greater Sacramento Smoke & Tobacco Free Coalition

Greater Sacramento Smoke & Tobacco Free Coalition The mission of the GSSTF Coalition is to create smoke and to***co free communities in Sacramento County.

The Greater Sacramento Smoke & To***co Free Coalition (GSSTFC), formerly known as the Sac County To***co Control Coalition, is a group of community members who advocate for positive policy, systems, and environmental changes related to to***co control. We will accomplish this through progressive and equitable policy, system and environmental changes, collaboration, and education to address disparities in disproportionately impacted populations. The Coalition envisions a world where all are free from the burden of smoke and commercial to***co products to support safe, healthy, and vibrant communities.

This New Year, make a promise that truly changes your life. Quit smoking and start 2026 with a fresh, healthy beginning.
Every cigarette you do not smoke is a victory. Within just hours of quitting, your body begins to heal, and every day you stay to***co-free, you give yourself the gift of more time, more energy, and better health.

Here’s why quitting is worth it:
• Feel better, breathe easier: Your lungs start cleaning themselves within weeks.

• More energy and better mood: Quitting boosts circulation, energy, and reduces stress over time.
• Protect loved ones: Quitting protects your family and friends from secondhand smoke.
• Live longer: Within one year, your risk of heart disease drops by half.

Tips to get started:
• Set a quit date: Treat it like a major life event. Circle it on your calendar.
• Find support: Tell friends or join a support group. It makes a huge difference.
• Identify triggers: Replace your smoke breaks with walks, calls, or deep breaths.
• Reward yourself: Celebrate every milestone, whether it is one day, one week, or one month to***co-free.
• Do not give up: Slip-ups happen. What matters is getting back on track.

This New Year, choose yourself. Make quitting to***co your resolution and keep it for life. Make 2026 the year you breathe easier, live stronger, and feel free.
