Proverbs 15:1 “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh response causes bickering.”
The spiritual darkness of perpetuating a fight with my wife and then being able to blame her for it is frightening to me.
As the head of our marriage, It is the husband's response to his wife that either nourishes and cherishes her or ignites a fight. It takes two to argue and biblically, it is never a wife’s anger, disappointment, challenge, or disagreement with her husband that causes strife - it is the husband’s immaturity or blatant disobedience to reflect "Christ's love for the Church" in his response to her that does so.
May the Lord quicken each of us to fear and honor Him enough to win the battle with our flesh awaiting us this, and every day.

The Marriage Seminar Marita and I led (while on her birthday weekend vacation) was blessed far beyond all we could have imagined! If your church is interested in helping couples discover "A Bickering Free Marriage" along with husbands learning to nourish and cherish their wives, and wives creating a daily plan to respect their husbands please let us know. We can only do two of these a year . . . so let us know quickly as there is only one left for 2022!

To the Cornerstone Choir Directors: If you put me next to Marita during any time of worship, I will probably be spending more time looking at her, than watching you. Whenever I give thanks to God Marita is second only to my salvation as she is God's ever present evidence that I have found favor with Him!

Long ago, I had a revelation that my “response” to my wife, was the root cause of ALL arguing/bickering in our home. I am the Head of my marriage and God has given me the Authority and power to stop it from ever happening.
It is the husband's response to his wife that either nourishes and cherishes her or ignites a fight. It takes two to argue and biblically, it is not her anger, challenge, or disagreement with her husband that causes strife. It is his immaturity or blatant disobedience to reflect "Christ's love for the Church" in his response to her that does so.
Ephesians 5:25
Merciful God make me a good husband today to your daughter, my wife - amen.
