β¨ Talk about showcasing creativity β¨
One of the best parts of the Showcase is seeing the incredible ideas students bring to life!
From hands-on demonstrations and scientific discoveries to artistic creations, being collections, crafts, and passion projects, each booth told a story about a student's interests, hard work, and creativity! π
Are your students working on any creative projects over summer break?
Which booth would you have stopped at first?

π± Meet Brieana DeMelo!
What does agriculture education look like in a homeschool setting?
For our Virtual Academy teacher Brieana, it meant creating a program that gives students hands-on learning, leadership opportunities, career exploration, and real-world agricultural experiences β all while maintaining the flexibility that homeschooling provides.
As the leader of SGCA's Agriculture Sciences program, Brieana has helped build opportunities for students to connect with agriculture, develop valuable skills, and explore future career pathways.
Learn more about Brieana's journey, her vision for the program, and how Agriculture Sciences is growing opportunities for students across Sequoia Grove Charter Alliance!

Dearest Followersβ¦ βΎπ
At this point, I kind of have to askβ¦ is the Evans family secretly employed by Major League Baseball? π
Because WOWZA!
Not only have they attended MULTIPLE baseball field trips this season, but they somehow managed to attend TWO baseball games in a single day?!!
Two. In one day.
Do you think they're pros by now at navigating the stadium? π
Their baseball adventure lineup includes:
βΎ River Cats β April 24
βΎ Reno Aces β April 28 (Educational Day)
βΎ Athletics β April 28 (that very same evening!)
βΎ San Francisco Giants β May 5
βΎ River Cats β May 7
And the best part? They still have more baseball field trips ahead of them!
Honestly, we love seeing families find opportunities to connect, learn, and make memories together through our field trip program.
The Evans family has fully committed to their baseball era, and I have to respect the dedication π
If there were a trophy for team spirit, I have a feeling they'd already have it displayed on the mantle. πβΎ

Celebrating these Feather River brothers and an incredible accomplishment this baseball season βΎπβ¨
After being selected to apply for the Elk Grove Youth Baseball Student Athlete Awards, both students earned the Gold Award for their hard work and dedication both on and off the field π
π
Joshua (2nd) shared how paying attention in class builds skills that carry over into baseball, especially when it comes to listening, teamwork, and following through with coaching on the field.
Daniel (4th) reflected on perseverance and how working through challenges in school has helped him stay focused in baseball as well. He connected this to real game experiences, sharing how pushing through setbacks has helped him improve and support his team.
Their reflections highlight the connection between academics and athletics and how growth in one area often supports success in another!
Congratulations to Joshua and Daniel on this recognition and for the effort they continue to put into both school and sports π
