TODAY IS THE BIG DAY OF GIVING!!! 🔶MAY 5th, so we wanted to give you a story about one of out students and leaders in our program🫂🔬🔭🦠

Ulysses Charles Bibbs is the NEWEST MEMBER OF OUR TEAM! He is the definition of an Architect of Hope. He started in our fellowship program at Rosemont High School and since then has grown, transformed, and matured into a man and civically engaged leader. He works as an intern with our leadership programs, helping our middle school students in the Sacramento Area. 🙌🏾🎓🫂

Ulysses is consistent, reliable, and always brings a positive attitude to the program. As a recent high school graduate, Ulysses is relatable to the youth he leads and incorporates skills he learned as an Architect of Hope student.🧠🫂📚

Ulysses models himself as a positive, effective, and compassionate mentor in his school, family, and community, and we are grateful to have Ulysses as part of our organization.🤝🎓✏️

TOMORROW!!! 🔶MAY 5th:

With the increasing violence in Sacramento, pain, depression, and anxiety have risen among our youth, young adults, and students. Some students are having trouble finding safe environments to express themselves to give them a sense of belonging.

Our organization this summer will provide a safe space for our students to grow, learn and become. Our program will focus on empowering students through mentorship and genuine relationships with healthy and safe mentoring. HELP US MAKE THIS HAPPEN FOR OUR FUTURE!!💯💯

Our organization builds on the youth’s needs, strengths, and aspirations to unlock potential and inspire leadership.📆🚌📓

The growth of our mentees has been fueled by student interest and advocacy.🎓📓🧪

Our youth have taken a school program and created a fellowship, a family, and a community of youth who share a common struggle – but who recognize themselves as agents of change.🧠🗣📝

In recent events across the United States, deep-rooted racism and injustice towards our Black communities have taken the forefront. More than ever before, everyone is struggling to look for the leadership they can trust, especially our Black youth.🤝🎓🏫

Our organization, aims to inspire the youth in out city to become civically engaged leaders for their schools and communities.

Our key goals are moved by social justice issues such as poverty, health, environment, and prejudice at our local schools. These issues are causing at-risk students to underperform in school and find detrimental solutions for their pain.❤️🗣🫂🧠

We assist our students in creating student-generated solutions to these problems while also providing 21st-century education and life skills to our students, hosted and presented by local leaders and professionals in the community.📚📝📓🧪

At our core, being a mentor builds and fosters genuine relationships with our students. It all boils down to making yourself available to support and advise our students when they need it, delivering that support in a way that makes sense to them, and always keeping the student’s best interests in mind.🧑‍🎓👩‍🎓

We are role models, the voices of reason, and a trusted resource that helps our students grow mentally, emotionally, and professionally.📆📝🖋

We value delivering support in a way that makes sense to each student. Our organization does a great job tailoring our mentoring to each student by connecting and taking an interest in our student’s passions.📚🎽🏅🕹🎮

We provide a Social Justice Development Model, where we empower our young men and women to be scholars of advocacy for Self, Culture, and Community!📖🚌📚📈

We focus on creating support systems for students that address Social, Emotional, and Mental Health. We meet the needs of students by integrating mentoring, arts, and mental health support in low-income, at-risk neighborhoods, and districts.📆📝🎓🧪

The program is designed to empower and cultivate students that become civically engaged leaders for their school, homes, and community!💭⤴️📓🚍📚

: "This tragedy is a public example of what families in many of our neighborhoods know too well. The suffering inflicted by gang violence does not limit itself to gang members. It spills over to claim and shatter innocent lives and harm our community."‼️💥

🌟We work with a select group of student leaders to ensure that they are on track academically, developing meaningful and healthy relationships with their peers, positively impacting their local community, and taking an active role in the trajectory of their lives.🎓🚌📓📆🚍🖊📝

We produce a Fellowship Program of 12 eighth-graders who will ultimately become civically engaged leaders for their school and community. 🏫🎼📝📚🎓

Our twelve students are selected during their eighth-grade year to participate in our Fellowship program as they transition from Middle School to High School. The Fellows develop and manage three different public awareness campaigns, which will revolve around the health and education of resources that uplift their lives and community.💼🎤🍎🖥

They also work with local businesses, leaders, and experts who can bring an outside perspective on various topics around academic excellence, professional development, and emotional development so the students can apply it to their campaign efforts.💭📝🎒📚
