Some days I can't adult. And taking care of myself used to be the first thing kicked off my to do list.
I thought a self-care routine needed to be a daily routine that only works as long as you are strict with yourself and ⚠️CONSISTENT⚠️.
If you know me at all, you know "consistency" is my least favorite word in the English dictionary 🤣
Talking about consistency makes me cringe. (it's definitely a Quad Right thing in Human Design!)
So instead of trying to force myself to have a routine or to be consistent...
I created this list months ago and it's a gold mine 🌟
I know most people in the world are NOT like me and need consistentcy and routines in their life. Totally fine! But we can't all be perfect 24/7.
That's where the List of Lazy Ways to Take Care of Myself comes it 🎉
I made a list of SIMPLE and EASY things I can do that just bring me simple joy and pleasure or peace of mind!!
It doesn't have to be intricate or complicated. Just 5 min of my time doing something small that makes me smile and fills up my cup, just a little bit.
You do at least one of these things on your own Lazy List every day and I promise, your daily mood will drastically improve!! 😝

Like asking for help makes you incapable of being a functioning human.
Like asking for help makes you unworthy and less-than because you weren't able to figure it all out on your own.
I'd like to say... F*CK that SH!T💥
After a year of suffering from undiagnosed Post Partum Depression after my first was born, seeking out help from a professional was probably one of the bravest and most COURAGEOUS things I've ever done.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO EVERYTHING ALONE.

We often see the end result of processing pain and suffering when we see people online.
But the truth is, a lot of effort and work and tears went into that smile.
Last year, I suffered two miscarriages, both at the very end of the first trimester. The first needed to be surgically removed to ensure the fetus was completely out of my body.
The second one was due in late July (just two weeks from now) and would have been my little Leo twin. 💔
It still makes me cry to know those little lives never made it to this world.
And then when we did make it to the second trimester with my Baby Girl now, we found out she would likely be diagnosed with Down Syndrome at 14 weeks.
To say it's been a long year and half of dealing with heartbreak after heartbreak would be an understatement.
But the thing is... I made it to the other side of all that pain and suffering.
Yes, I felt betrayed and heartbroken.
Yes, I doubted whether I wanted to keep going and keep trying.
Yes, I was afraid to be hopeful for the next one or afraid to be excited when we the next test was positive.
Yes, I cried over hearing my baby wouldn't have the life I envisioned for her.
But all those thoughts and emotions are just that. Thoughts and emotions.
My thoughts and emotions don't have to DEFINE me. I realized they were just there WITH on that part of the journey.
I got to understand those thoughts and emotions on a deeper level.
Understand MYSELF on a deeper level.
Learn to love myself THROUGH them rather than avoid them.
And ultimately find a way to let those thoughts go.
Yes, they come back occasionally. But I don't let them consume me. I don't let them debilitante me.
I know these experiences made me stronger. They helped me become the woman who can look at her Baby Bump and feel joy and excitement again.
You don't have to struggle with the pain and suffering forever. I can help you.

Our brains are hardwired to avoid fear at all costs 😱
Back in the caveman days, fear was meant to keep us safe and alive.
So it makes sense that our brains want to avoid, run away from, or fight off our fears whenever it comes up.
But I want to challeng you to use your fear as an indicator of an opportunity for you to get really curious about yourself.
What if, instead of avoiding it, you invite the fear in?
Be open to what your fear has to tell you. The wisdom it can offer up.
