Friday is our park day and also garbage truck day. This morning, we enjoyed walking to the park and watching the garbage truck. The driver kindly handed out toy garbage cans and showed the children how to sort recycling, green waste, and trash. It was a wonderful hands-on moment that tied in perfectly with our Earth theme this week!

A family shared photos of birds nesting in a tree in their backyard. Each year, a bird builds a nest there, and this year there are four baby birds. It’s an amazing educational opportunity. We looked at the photos together, discussed the birds’ life cycle, and read related books.

Although it's raining, we still took the opportunity to go outdoors. Children enjoyed holding their umbrellas, observing the earthworms, stepping into puddles, and watching the water flowing down the drain...it's also so sweet to observe some older kids sharing their umbrella with the younger one...
