Yesterday, the 2026-2027 SHIMA members met virtually for the first official meeting of the year. 💻

The meeting was led by President Tasia Daniels, under guidance of faculty advisor Tonya Mays, and assisted by fellow SHIMA leadership Alyssa Johnston (VP) and Emilee Berry (Secretary).

We discussed plans for the year, including our fall fundraiser and local outreach ideas. We had a great turnout, and want to thank all members that joined in!

A recording of the meeting was sent out to all current members, in case they couldn’t attend.

We are so excited to get started on another wonderful year! 🥳

Tasia Daniels, SHIMA President, met students at the door to share about SHIMA and the HIM program. She did a great job engaging with the students and encouraging them to explore future careers in HIM.
