I got another project in the works! After a few palette cleaning quilted postcards - I’ve got some sewjo back!

I’ve spent the summer with these two crazy kids and I kept thinking back to what home was. This is especially timely, because my husband is retiring from the Army next month and I’ve never lived anywhere longer than 4 years in the last 16 years.

Home was California, but my family left my childhood home when I was 19.

Home is where these 2 are. They’re a little older now - but they still hold hands - big brother leading the way and little sister looking for flowers 🩷

I’m really loving what we’re creating over in the - come join us!

No one can cuddle a quilt that isn’t made.

Making flying geese blocks used to stress me out because every once in a while there would be that extra bit of over lapped fabric, but it doesn’t impact the design or the integrity of the quilt, so now I embrace it. I’d rather be quilting and gifting (in this quilts case!).

Fabric trimmings into a quilted postcard! It was really a fun process to up cycle what I would normally just toss.

I’ve been keeping up with the monthly challenges with the Fiber Fix Fam ( ) with Mel Beach and Brandy from the Quilt on Fire Podcast! It gives me just the right push to actually play and get creative every month.
