Dont be fooled. The girls r painting their unicorn and rainbow figurines...but we are watching Selma. Yes. SELMA. its a HARD ass movie to watch. Lots of language. Lots of pain. Lots of situations and events that aren't comfortable to watch with kids. I'm not pushing the movie on them. They're only 6 and 8...Just simply letting it be on and answering questions as they come. But if they're not going to be able to learn the truth in school about the SUFFERING and SEGREGATION and PREJUDICES that were and still are absolutely real for Black Americans and Minorities...then we will learn it in our home.
