There’s a lot to love about HBO Max's breakout hospital drama “The Pitt,” and it’s been especially gratifying to see the series highlight the critical importance of communication access in primetime. Two recent storylines portray starkly different patient experiences: in one, timely access to an AAC device enables clear, effective communication; in the other, a Deaf woman encounters repeated barriers as she tries to communicate with medical staff.

My name is Chantelle Bombardier, and I'm delighted to introduce you to my speech-language pathology practice.

I'm thrilled to embark on this journey with you all, bringing over 9 years of experience as a speech-language pathologist in the vibrant city of New York, and over 4 years of experience from where I was born and raised, the rugged and beautiful North Country. Additionally, in the last few years, I've had the opportunity to work with clients and their families virtually across the United States. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with culturally diverse populations in a multitude of settings, tackling a wide array of communication differences, delays, and disorders.

But beyond the clinical aspect, my passion lies in advocacy. I firmly believe that every individual deserves a voice, regardless of their background or circumstances. It's this conviction that drives me to ensure that each person I work with receives the support they need to communicate effectively and lead fulfilling lives.
