The plot twist my plaid stencil didn't see coming! 😅🍂

It was meant for beautiful layered plaid. But you know what, It has not made a single plaid pattern in my craft room yet! 🤣

Why? Because one layer of it makes the MOST perfect notebook paper lines! 💙🩷

I threw in some blue lines, a pink margin line and a little help from my Spiral Notebook Die and all of a sudden I had the cutest notebook paper with that perfect fringed spiral edge. 📓✨

Then I added a pumpkin and the tiniest pink mushroom, to add a little fall magic. 🎃🍄 And that's how a new card idea was born!

It got me thinking… how many of our crafting supplies can do so much more than the one thing we originally bought them for originally?

Sometimes, a different perspective is all you need on a familiar supply! 💡

🎃 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮? 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗿!

I think I just made one of the easiest Halloween cards ever. The secret? Let the patterned paper do most of the work! 🧡

💡 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗺𝘆 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲: You don’t need five shades of orange cardstock to make a gorgeous layered pumpkin. 🎃

Sometimes it just takes one little coloring trick!

For this card I die cut all my pumpkin pieces from plain orange card stock and used just 𝗢𝗡𝗘 OLO marker to shade the top layer. That little splash of color made the whole pumpkin come to life! 🖌️

Add a soft vellum circle, three tiny bats and the cutest little “Spooky & Sweet” sentiment strip and you’ve got a clean and simple Halloween card with just the right amount of spooky charm! 👻

Which means if you start a card this weekend, you could be the one mailing handmade Halloween cards while everyone else is panic buying candy. 😂

This little donut card takes less than an hour to create and uses supplies you probably already have. Even better, the layout works with ANY three small stamps so you can make it your own easily!

🎃 Three weekends until Halloween…

So if you're a "one craft session at a time" crafter like me, this might be your last comfortable weekend to start working on a Halloween card. 😂

The good news is, this zombie donut card totally is a one-sitting kind of card! 🍩🧟‍♂️

We're already at 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝟯: 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗼𝘄𝘀 + 𝗳𝘂𝘀𝘀𝘆 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 and there is only ONE part left to go.

💛 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆... 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂! 💌

Friends I need your help with something important!

My daughter 𝗘𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 has been trying to manage her studies in engineering and her passion for volleyball. The problem is that her volleyball career depends a lot on her studies! With all these costs: books, college fees, volleyball club fees.... Can you imagine how tough it is for her?! 😅

Last weekend she decided to help me in my stamp room! Which, by the way is not an easy job as you could see in my videos! 😂

She not only sorted and packed our 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲 bags but also did almost 𝟵𝟵% 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸. Now I just need to send these bags off 😊

𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗿𝘆... 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲?

I made this cute Halloween card with three little green monster donuts, and honestly, the coloring is the easy part! 💚

It’s a small image so I only used three shades of green. I put the darkest color where the shadows would naturally fall, then blended everything out.

My OLO markers do most of the heavy lifting and they make the whole process seem much less daunting. Especially when I’m working on their Blending Card Paper instead of regular cardstock.

If you’ve been afraid to try alcohol marker blending, 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹! A small image like this is a great way to practice without feeling overwhelmed.

POV: You stamped the CUTEST image ever… and now you’re scared to color it. 🙈😂

That was me with these little Spoopy Donuts from Crafty Stamp Co. 🍩💚

I finally got over myself and just went with 𝟮-𝟯 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻, 𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱.

That’s all!

I colored these with OLO markers on their 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 and the smooth ink flow made blending SO much easier.

Bright, bold, a little radioactive donut monsters… and somehow I didn’t screw up any of them. 👻🍩💚
