We took the pre-k to third grade kids to the fair on Friday for, "Children's Day at the Fair." We learned about cheese, goats, sheep, tractors and more. It was such a wonderful day and the kids loved it. Great job, Eastern New Mexico State Fair

This week we met with Ancients of Days, Roswell, Nm and learned about rocks. It was such a neat presentation. Several kids brought their own special rocks to have identified. It was a great time!

Join us Friday, September 18 from 6–9 PM at the Chaves County Courthouse in downtown Roswell for the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Meet & Greet.

This free community event is open to the public and will feature live music, food trucks ready to accept cash or card, , vendors, air race pilots, performers, and more.

Come meet the Thunderbirds, bring your family and friends, and celebrate race week with us in downtown Roswell.

The Air Show is this week! We will be handing out wristbands for our September 18th trip this coming week. We have wristbands for the grandstands (bleachers). You can visit airrace.org if you have questions about what you're allowed to bring or not bring (visit their FAQ tab). Parking is not provided, I made a mistake including that on the poster. Paid parking is available. We have a large group of almost 400 homeschoolers going and we are SO excited to have you attend. Please download the Remind app if you are interested in special events or need to quickly communicate with me! I'll post the link to join in the comments. Please note the website listed on the flyers-it's AMAZING and will answer so many questions. The air show is and can be an all day event, so wear your comfiest shoes!

We are not planning on going in a large group together, but I encourage you to meet up with your friends who are going! Last year we got there early and watched the early races and then some people went to their cars and took a little break and some stayed the entire time. You can absolutely spend the day there and not see everything. Bring strollers or wagons! Download the Remind App (link in comments) and if we have any special tours they will be shared there. Can't wait for the adventure!

Last year we had such a wonderful time at the air show! We took a tour of the pit, the F1 racing hanger and got to meet Jet Sheila, the only female racing Jets.
