Just a friendly reminder,
We will be hosting an end of summer BBQ at our house on August 12 at 5PM. All you need to do is show up with a smile, a good story or two, and a HUGE appetite!!

I cannot believe that summer will be coming to a close in just a few short weeks. I have loved every busy, fun filled moment with our littles and getting to know our bigs a little better. We have had a lot of fun and all grown as individuals. The babies have crossed some major milestones such as learning to crawl, walk, self-feed, and starting to talk and sign. Caia and I have taken a break from our preschool curriculum for the summer but I look forward to beginning a new school year of letter and number recognition, phonics, expanding our counting, and learning all about the days of the weeks/ months of the year/ and seasons hopefully with one or two new friends!

I know it has been an eternity since I have updated our page with photos and news....SORRY! It turns out taking care of six children is a little crazy and time consuming. Who knew!? But here are a few photos of what we have been up to and once Chris or I figure out how to upload the photos from my phone there will be a ton more. YEAY!

Spring is here and our daycare is in full bloom. Welcome to our newest full-timers Ethan and Caia and the addition of Gannon's siblings Brayden and Christian!!! We have got a full house now.

I cannot believe the first half of February is over! Though we have suffered through two weeks of runny noses, fevers, aches, and tiredness we were still busy making new friends and having a great time!

January has been a great time of growth and exploration here at Miss Lindsey's Family Daycare. We opened our doors for the first time. Enrolled our first family....and got to work learning, exploring, and getting to know one another. Our days were filled with free play, reading, music time, art projects, walks, trips to the park, playing in the sand box and ball pit, trying a variety of new foods, a little rest (VERY little...jk), learning a few baby signs such as more, milk, and eat, and the parts of our upper body such as eyes, nose, mouth, cheek, ear, forehead, and hair. These fun activities allowed us to familiarize ourselves with new surroundings, immerse ourselves in sensory play, practice and challenge our gross and fine motor skills, learn a new form of communication, develop new interests, and let our imaginations fly free. I can't wait to see all that we accomplish in Feb!

FRIENDLY REMINDER: Tomorrow is Feb. 1st and payment is due.
REQUEST: Can you please collect any plastic tops of wipe dispensers (the portion that looks like a lid) if you have any around the house as well as bringing in some photos of your house/family/pets for an upcoming art project.

I am so excited to start Miss Lindsey's Family Daycare. I am just waiting on my inspection and then I will be fully licensed and ready to roll. Who wants to be our first addition?!
