Late post: I ended February/started March with a finals appearance in the Folsom Lake Surf Youngers Challenge with my 2014G Gold team. We were missing key players, had little subs all weekend, AND improved our game vs Folsom Lake Surfs 2014G Pre I team. I’m dang proud of that second place finish.

The first time we played them, we lost pretty significantly. I don’t remember exactly how many they scored but it was a lot. This last game? The finals? The game was 2-1 at the final whistle.

I’m here to build that fight in them, to push them and encourage them; we NEVER give up. 💥😎

I must’ve gone lowkey delulu for taking on ᴀɴᴏᴛʜᴇʀ team. Added the 2018G Academy IV to the list. 🤪 First game tonight against another Placer United 2018G team; I couldn’t have asked for a better way to start off the season. 💪🏽😎⚽️

Busy weekend with the YOP friendlies and some familiar faces; Cal North + ODP events are always a good time!💙

It didn’t end with the result we wanted but make no mistake about it—these girls were incredibly successful this past weekend. They worked, improved, and fought through so much to get to the finals. From try outs to get on the team, training sessions, packed schedules with school and other commitments, they made it to the FINALS in a tournament where they competed against the best from other states/regions; they are unstoppable. I love these girls like family at this point.

I always love spending the time with & .garrett.morgan. Getting to brainstorm and network with other coaches, coach girls from elite clubs, plus there is so much learning and growth with each event. I’m so thankful to be a part of YOP & ODP! 🥰

They put the work in, they have earned this opportunity to battle Cal South in the finals at the Far West Championships for the #1 spot. Now it’s time to trust the process and themselves; they can do this. They can do anything they put their mind to, they are a force to be reckoned with.
