Pastors pour out every single day — but who pours into them?

Many pastors and ministry leaders are silently burdened with exhaustion, isolation, discouragement, and the spiritual weight of others… and most feel they have no safe person to turn to. That’s why I serve as a Standing Stone Ministry Shepherd.

As a Standing Stone Shepherd, I walk alongside pastors and ministry leaders, providing confidential care, encouragement, prayer, and shepherding — all at no cost to them.

Because healthy leaders build healthy churches.

Over the next four weeks, I will share stories of hope, healing, and how YOU can help support shepherds this Giving Tuesday. Stay with me — the mission of Standing Stone is important.

Many people have asked, "What is Standing Stone Ministry?"

Standing Stone Ministry has assembled a team of Shepherds who understand the challenges, difficulties, frustrations, and discouragements that pastors and ministry leaders often face as they care for their congregations and communities. I am honored to provide these pastors and ministry leaders with care, comfort, counsel, and coaching.

As a Shepherd with Standing Stone Ministry, I have a team of partners who pray for and support me in reaching out to pastors and ministry leaders, ensuring that my services are provided to them at no cost. Please let me know if you know someone who could benefit from my support. Additionally, if you would like to learn more about Standing Stone and consider joining my team of partners, I would be happy to meet with you to share the vision of this ministry in greater detail.

Please pray for me as I continue on this journey of faith and trust in what God has assigned to me as the work of His Kingdom.

🌟 New Ministry Assignment Update 🌟

Hey Friends,

It's been a while since my last post, and I wanted to update you on my journey. As some of you may know, I recently embarked on a new ministry assignment, and it's been an incredible journey of faith and trust in God's provision.

In my last post, I shared about starting a new work with Standing Stone, a ministry dedicated to supporting and empowering pastors, spouses, missionaries, and ministry leaders. It's been amazing to see how my gifts and skills in counseling, coaching, mentoring, and guiding people through healing prayer align perfectly with Standing Stone's mission.

Did you know that a staggering 70% of pastors feel lonely because they lack trusted friends with whom to share their struggles? And that 58% lack mentors, while 54% feel overwhelmed. These statistics highlight the urgent need for support and encouragement in the lives of those who lead us spiritually.

That's where I come in. I'm here to listen, understand, pray, and support these leaders so they know they're not alone. Together, we can help them realize that they are called, qualified, and fully equipped to serve.

I invite you to join me in praying for this much-needed ministry and the provision needed to fund it. Your prayers make a difference, and I am deeply grateful for your support.

If you feel called to get directly involved and have an impact on pastors and ministry leaders, please don't hesitate to DM me. I would love to connect with you and share more about this incredible opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those who dedicate themselves to serving others.

Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and support. Together, we can make a difference!

Blessings,

🌟 Exciting News On My New Ministry Assignment! 🌟

Friends and Family,

I am happy to share some incredible news with you! 🎉 I am embarking on a new ministry assignment with Standing Stone Ministry, and it feels like the perfect opportunity that aligns with my gifts, experience, and passion. 🙌

In this new role, I'll be privileged to care for fellow pastors and ministry leaders. I will provide a safe and understanding space—a listening post—for these leaders to discover renewal and restoration. Having walked the challenging path of full-time pastoral ministry, I am eager to support and impact the lives of those who dedicate themselves to serving others.

🙏 As I embark on this adventure with God, I ask for your prayers. Please pray for wisdom, strength, and a deep connection with those I will be privileged to serve. Your prayers mean the world to me, and I believe that with your support, we can make a lasting impact together.

I'm reminded of the words in 1 Peter 5:2-4: "Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them — not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be..." These verses resonate deeply with me, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to fulfill this calling by supporting my fellow shepherds.

If you're curious to learn more about this exciting journey or want to catch up, please send me a direct message. I look forward to sharing more about this opportunity and catching up with each of you!

With heartfelt gratitude 🌟

New in 2024

With a new year comes the opportunity to seek out new ways God may want to use us for His Kingdom purposes. Over the past several years, I have enjoyed sitting with people and hearing their stories. I am thankful for these experiences and how God has gifted me to be of help to the persons who have been divinely placed in my path. In 2024, I hope to serve more people this way. If you know of someone who would find it helpful to sit with someone who is a shepherd at heart and can biblically guide them through pastoral counseling, spiritual life coaching, or prayer counseling, please share my new website:

Here is a testimony from a person I got to work with:

Pastor Terrance’s strength-based approach came at a pivotal time in my life as I sought to recommit to the Lord. His counsel provides clarifying truth, which cuts through the noise by getting to the heart of the matter. As a helper myself, it’s sometimes difficult to hold space for myself. He actively listens and asks clarifying questions while being sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading. He’s championing me toward discovering what abiding in Christ looks like for me while coaching me as I navigate leadership opportunities. I appreciate Pastor Terrance’s twofold approach, coupled with accountability and biblical solutions. His counsel helps me pinpoint the root of my brokenness and reframe conflict as opportunities for redemptive solutions. I’m also inspired by Pastor Terrance's book “Broken Yet Called” as he draws from his own journey of brokenness and redemption in Christ. It’s a reminder to respond in love when confronted with brokenness. It’s a mark of our radical pursuit of God and oneness within the body of Christ. I look forward to leadership coaching as we navigate what God has for me next.

Please take some time to review the website and see the services I can offer.

As always, please like, share, and follow.

CHEW ON THIS

A New Year of Prayer

James 5:16
16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

Well, if you are like the rest of us, with the start of a new year comes a time to think about how we want this new year to look. I am challenged to consider what that might look like from a prayer perspective. Many of us have read James 5:16 several times. We stand in the space of wanting our prayers to have great power. The first half of this verse is easy if we are willing to sit with a trusted person and be honest about areas in our lives that need correction. Yet, how often have we taken a good look at the second half? “The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.”

We can’t really see it in the text, but there is an expectation of how great power in prayer flows. What does a righteous person even begin to look like? One potential possibility lies in Deuteronomy 11:13-17. (Give it a read!) Focus on verse 16. This is a place where I don't believe we give enough attention. We don't often stop long enough to ask ourselves: “Have we allowed other idols and gods to be placed in our everyday lives?” If we want our prayers to avail much or have great power, then we must be willing to deal with the possible other idols or gods that have become rooted in our lives. God is clear in His word that no other gods can exist before Him. We quickly rush in and say, “I am not worshiping any other gods!” But have we looked at the things leading us that are not of God? For example, has money become more significant than God? Has status become more prominent than God? Have things become more significant than God? What about how we spend our time or what we view with our eyes? You may have a far better list to consider. If we are to be righteous people whose prayer has great power, then we must address what may be hindering our prayers. Our prayers do not have an automatic effect if we are not right with the One who delivers on our prayers.

Friends, let's make this a new year of prayer! The prayers of righteous people need to avail much with all that is happening in the world, our culture, our communities, jobs, and maybe even our homes.

Let's lean into God this year. Let's truly abide in Jesus (John 15). In so doing, let’s watch what God will do with our prayers!

Chew On This

Only in the Land of Goshen

26 Only in the land of Goshen, where the people of Israel were, was there no hail.
Exodus 9:26

It is always important to read God's Word in context. In so doing, sometimes something jumps off the page at you and speaks into your heart. This is the case for me with verse nine. I count it a blessing to be able to share it with you.

This small verse sometimes does not get noticed amidst the larger context of chapter nine. Have you ever just read past this verse? There is a lot of power in this verse. At times, there can be destruction all around us. God may be allowing some things to happen in our lives. We may have been the cause of some situations. At other times, others may be the cause of the circumstances. Whatever it is, we need a place of hope.

Goshen is a symbolic land that describes fertility, prosperity/plenty, and security/comfort. It symbolizes where God's people live near Him, and God secures their welfare from the prevalent evil in the world. You can call it the secret place. So you will not be wrong if you say we are talking about the secret place of God. It is our place with Him amid the hail that can invade our lives.

For you and I to find safety in Goshen, our confessions must be accurate. They must also be sincere. If they are insincere, we only seek to relieve the pressure. Goshen can also have a meaning of approaching and or drawing near.

When we are in the "Goshen" space, we know that though there may be hail, it's not over. This week, seek your Goshen with God and claim peace in Him.

Be encouraged, sisters and brothers. God is on your side.

Here is a review from a blogger on my visual book tour.

"The title grabbed my attention right away. I remember a time where I was very hurt by a church and felt I would never be able to minister again. The church I turned to opened their arms wide and said that I was welcome there. I grew spiritually and found my way to forgiveness. Through God’s healing and this church with people who loved on me, I found myself back in ministry. I appreciate the author’s story and how it reminds us that even though we feel unworthy, God can still use us.

The author gives examples from the Bible of people who sinned and was restored. Why are we so hard on ourselves? Perhaps it is the enemy trying to keep us chained up and broken so we won’t seek help and forgiveness. One of the most important things the author talks about is how pastors are human. They make mistakes just like everyone else. Why then, is it harder to forgive them? Is it because we placed them on a pedestal with the thought that they should never sin? The author also mentions how gossip can lead to division in a church.

Confessing your sin in front of a congregation takes courage and we should be there to give grace and help that person become free from the bo***ge they are in. When a pastor sins, the church needs to surround them with Godly advice. The goal is to restore them not banish them.

Let’s all join together to help the healing process and make the body of Christ stronger and united."
