Welcome to the team, Lisa Feleshchuk! 💚💛

We’re excited to welcome Lisa to the Rosendale-Brandon School District as our new teacher serving exceptional students in grades 1-3! Lisa grew up near Oshkosh and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Arizona State University. She later earned her master’s degree in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Walden University.

Here’s a little about Lisa, in her own words:

“I am excited to be teaching exceptional students in grades 1-3. I believe it’s going to be a great year with lots of fun learning!

I was inspired to become a teacher by my kindergarten and 1st grade teachers, followed by my college English professors and a Special Education professor at Arizona State University.

It is my hope to provide students with a lifelong love of school and learning, confidence through success, and a sense of responsibility to the community. I look forward to making this a great year filled with fun and learning!”

Outside of school, Lisa has a keen interest in charities that support abused animals. 🐾

Welcome to the team, Jennifer Salzman! 💚💛

We’re excited to welcome Jennifer to the Rosendale-Brandon School District as our new Kindergarten Teacher! Jennifer graduated from UW-Whitewater in 2017 with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a dual license covering birth through third grade in both regular and special education.

Jennifer has experience teaching 4K through second grade, but says 4K and Kindergarten have her heart! ❤️

Here’s a little about Jennifer, in her own words:

“Teaching young children is my passion! I always knew I loved working with kids, but when I was in high school, I had the opportunity to volunteer in a kindergarten classroom for the year, and the rest is history.

I hope that I can help my students develop a love for school and learning as they begin their school career!”

Welcome to the team, Madison Lemke! 💚💛

We’re excited to welcome Madison back to the Rosendale-Brandon School District as our new Fourth Grade Teacher! A Laconia graduate, Madison earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary/Middle Education from Marian University, along with a minor in Athletic Coaching.

Here’s a little about Madison, in her own words:

“I became a teacher because I have always wanted to make a positive difference in students’ lives. I love watching them grow, gain confidence, and discover what they are capable of!

I hope to provide a classroom where every student feels safe, included, supported, and challenged to grow. I want my students to know that mistakes are part of learning and that they are capable of more than they may realize. Most importantly, I hope to build meaningful relationships and make this year a year for the students to remember!”

Outside of school, Madison enjoys spending time with family, camping, being outdoors, and staying involved with softball. She is looking forward to getting to know her students, families, and the Rosendale-Brandon community!

Welcome to the team, Beth Kwakkel! 💚💛

We’re excited to welcome Beth back to the Rosendale-Brandon School District as our new Business Education Teacher! A Ripon native, Beth holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from UW-Oshkosh and a master’s degree in Leadership from Marian University.

Beth brings 13 years of experience in HR management, along with experience teaching college HR courses as an adjunct instructor.

Here’s a little about Beth, in her own words:

“Growing up, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, even if my path to the classroom took a slight detour! My real-world experience in HR naturally led me to teaching, where I realized my true passion belonged in education full-time.

I’m excited to be back at Rosendale-Brandon! I’m looking forward to teaching business and career skills while helping students discover their passions, recognize their strengths, and find career paths that truly fit them.”

Outside of school, Beth enjoys spending time with her husband, their two children, Lily and JD, their dog, and their four chickens. 🐔

🤝 Building Leaders Through Peer Mediation!

Last week, 20 fourth and fifth grade students at Laconia Elementary completed training to become peer mediators with School Counselor Mrs. Verch and Student Success Coordinator Mrs. Riedeman! 👏

For many years, Laconia students have volunteered to serve as peer mediators during lunch recess, helping classmates work through small playground disagreements. Through their training, students learned about:

👂 Active listening
💬 “I” messages
❤️ Understanding others’ feelings
🧩 Problem solving
🤝 Communication and helpful feedback

The goal is simple: help everyone feel heard, understand each other, and find a peaceful solution. 💚

The week wrapped up with our new peer mediators being officially sworn in at the Fond du Lac County Courthouse! We were also excited to have three peer mediators’ parents join us for a photo. They were part of one of the very first groups trained by Mrs. Verch! How special is that? 🥰

We are so proud of these students for stepping up as leaders and helping make Laconia Elementary a more peaceful place! 🌟

Welcome to the team, Michaela Keenlance! 💚💛

We’re excited to welcome Michaela to the Rosendale-Brandon School District as our new Second Grade Teacher at Laconia Elementary! Michaela graduated from UW-River Falls in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology. She has experience teaching both first and fourth grade and is excited to continue growing with our second graders!

Here’s a little about Michaela, in her own words:

“I became a teacher because I love building relationships with students and being part of their growth and success. I want every student to feel safe, supported, valued, and excited to learn. I hope to create a classroom where students feel comfortable taking risks, making mistakes, and celebrating their growth together.

I am so excited to become part of the Rosendale-Brandon community and to get to know my students and their families!”

Outside of school, Michaela enjoys spending time with her husband, family, friends, and their yellow lab puppy, Belle. 🐾
