Congratulations to Kiwanis Club of Rome President, Luis Pizano, Secretary, Whitney Gates, and President-Elect, Ted Goodwin for being awarded the Governor’s Leadership Medallion at today’s Division 11 Governor’s Rally!

Kiwanis Club of Rome was also proud to host Governor Barry Gardner and Lady Gloria for the Governor’s Rally under the leadership of Division 11 Lieutenant Governor and Immediate Past President, Jamie Foster.

Kiwanis Club of Rome member, Ron Roach, volunteered alongside Kiwanis Club of Cartersville’s Dale Luengen to fulfill Jude’s Make-A-Wish to give back to the city of Summerville. It was such an honor!

We can help “kickstart” service for new Kiwanis clubs that meet membership criteria. Kalli Gober, president of one such club, recently told us about launching a signature project with help from a Kiwanis Children's Fund Kickstarter grant: “There’s something powerful about a simple, practical project that meets basic needs.”

We are saddened to share the passing of long-time Kiwanis Club of Rome member John Pillsbury. John’s leadership, dedication, and heart for service made a lasting impact on our club and in our community. In his honor, we recommit ourselves to serving the children of our community and carrying forward the legacy he so proudly committed the last 30+ years of his life to. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this time.

📚✨ Join us for Kiwanis Read Across Georgia Day (Jan 26–30)! We’ll be reading to students at local elementary, Pre-K, and Head Start centers to promote literacy and help kids read on grade level by 3rd grade—because kids need Kiwanis! 💙🎉
