Happy Thursday everyone!!! Let’s start the day off with our morning funny 🤣🤣🤣🤣!! As soon as Hampton walks in Coach tell me “Hampton has something to tell you”!! Hampton tells me he cut his name paper. I said ok and immediately started laughing because I figured it was just a little slit in his paper. We proceeds to have breakfast and go to the classroom to start our day!!!

Me: Hampton get your homework out of your folder
Hampton: Ms. Elaine my paper is broke
Me: immediately remembering the conversation when he was dropped off.
Me: Hampton what happened to your paper
Hampton: I cut it
Me: why
Hampton: I told my momma I just did my name at school and I was tired
Me: laughing and trying to hide my face.
Hampton: it’s ok don’t cry Ms. Elaine

I immediately calls Ms. Catherine laughing so hard telling her I appreciate my morning laugh and also believing me when I tell her all the things that he does at school 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Children are so funny and don’t even know it🤣🤣. Today has been a very long day for me so when the children took a nap it gave me a little time to reset the classroom. After nap conversation::

Me-JaLani where are your shoes
Ja’Lani-I don’t know
Me-How did we lose your shoes
Ja’Lani- they not lost
Me- well where are they
Ja’Lani-Ms. Elaine I told you I don’t know
Me-we need to find them.
Ja’Lani- it’s ok I have more at home
Me- oh no ma’am we have to find your shoes

Me- helping look for shoes almost an hour.

I never tell the children anything about testing. They think everything is class work and must be done before they leave school. Hampton and Jianna completed all their tests/worksheets independently and Jianna was able to write her name independently and recognize her numbers 1-5 and letters A-E!!!

For the past couple of weeks Hampton has been telling me that he does too much work and he be tired. Needless to say I still give him class work and homework to take home 🤣🤣. This morning while completing our one on one time Hampton told me:

Hampton -Ms. Elaine I don’t need your help.
Me-oh really🙄🙄
Hampton-I can count my own fingers I don’t want to count yours.
Me-so you really don’t want my help?
Hampton- no because if you help me my momma don’t let me play and I sit at the table and do more work.
Me-🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hampton-Ms. Elaine that’s not funny I be so tired and want to play and take a nap.
Me- ok well I will just sit here and if you need my help let me know.
Hampton- no I got it.

Fun day at Wild Country Safari!!! A big thank you to Mrs. Dorsey for traveling with us because I don’t know how I would have done it. I am not a animal person and most definitely would be the one running from all the animals 🤣🤣🤣
