💚 Meet the Heart Behind Our K–2 Classrooms! 💚

There’s something pretty special about teaching our youngest learners. Every day brings new discoveries, new questions, new friendships, and plenty of opportunities to grow, and our K–2 team is ready for all of it!

These educators create classrooms where students feel known, supported, challenged, and celebrated. They turn everyday moments into learning opportunities, encourage curiosity and creativity, and help our students take those important first steps toward becoming confident learners.

We’re incredibly grateful for the energy, imagination, and care this team brings to our school each day.

Kinder: Mrs. Robinson, Ms. Clark (and Mrs. Dunahee from PreK)
1st Grade: Mrs. Cathcart-Sievert, Mrs. James, and Mrs. Cervantes
2nd Grade: Mrs. Watson, Ms. Plume, and Mrs. Lamp

Congratulations to Arkansas Arts Academy staff Carrie Lee and Kyle Cornelison and student Auvi Shaffer for making the cast of Addams family! Way to represent!

đŸ«°đŸ«°They’re creepy. They’re kooky. They’re officially cast
and we can’t wait to see what they dig up.đŸ«°đŸ«°

After summoning an extraordinary number of talented performers from across our community, we are thrilled...and just a little terrified...to introduce the cast of AOP’s The Addams Family! đŸ–€

The passion, preparation, and talent we saw throughout auditions made casting deliciously difficult. To everyone who shared their time, courage, and creativity with us: thank you. We are continually amazed by the depth of talent in our theatre community and deeply grateful that so many people wanted to join us in the darkness.

Now, please give a warm (ahem, or appropriately chilling) welcome to our Addams family, the Beinekes, and a spirited collection of Ancestors who simply refuse to stay buried. âš°ïžđŸŒ™

Congratulations to the cast of AOP’s The Addams Family! The family is growing
and things are about to get delightfully strange!

🎭 Performances October 22–31

We are proud to be recognized by U.S. News and World Report as a top High School in the nation! But what makes Arkansas Arts Academy special goes far beyond a ranking.

It’s the way our unique academics and arts-centered education gives every student the opportunity to express themselves, discover their strengths, step into meaningful opportunities, and ultimately thrive. Every award and recognition is a reflection of the incredible people who make AAA what it is—our dedicated teachers, staff, and leaders, and, most importantly, our students.

It’s official—our students found out their houses today! We had a fantastic first full week and we ended it with a house party for each grade 1st through 6th grade! Kindergarten students will join a house in a few months. They will get their own house party!
Each house brings together students and staff from across our school to build connection, belonging, and school spirit. All of our houses represent an element of art or principle of design. Watch the video to meet some of the teachers and staff in each house and see if you can spot yours!

Thank you CharterFolk for sharing Arts Academy and our unique charter school mission. AAA is more than a school—it is a community built on the belief that creativity, the arts, and academic excellence can work together to transform learning.

“I love seeing students running down the hallway carrying a guitar on their way from ballet to another class.”

Meet Dr. Allison Roberts, the artist-turned-CEO profiled in this week's CharterFolk X. At Arkansas Arts Academy, students from more than 20 Northwest Arkansas communities learn every subject through the arts, intern at Bridges Museum of American Art — and some graduate with businesses of their own. A second campus is planned for Central Arkansas in 2027.
