Students in Mr. Trejo's social studies class were playing “Chunkey”, a physical activity where spear throwers are tracking the disc until it almost stops moving and throw the spear at the last moment. This was a game played often by indigenous nations pre-European contact.

From reading the novel Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli in 9th grade to learning how to annotate a text in 6th grade. Students are working hard in Mrs. Gonzalez's ELA classes.

AP Seminar students finished their understanding of the QUEST framework with a fun activity using puzzle pieces and separating each letter. They worked in groups of three to share what they think the word represents in a picture. At the end they shared what their groups came up with to the class.

❤️ ♣️ ♦️ ♠️ Let the competition begin! ♠️ ♦️ ♣️ ❤️

We had an AMAZING time at our first monthly assembly! Our students officially joined their teams for the year by drawing a card and becoming a member of the Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds, or Spades!

After the teams were set, it was time for some friendly competition! Students jumped right into the Ultimate Rock Paper Scissors Challenge and Capture the Flag, working together and earning PRS points for their teams. 🎉

We loved seeing the teamwork, school spirit, laughter, and friendly competition throughout the gym. This is just the beginning—we can’t wait to see which team comes out on top! ❤️♣️♦️♠️

📸 Picture Day is Tomorrow! 📸

Get those smiles ready! 😁 Fall Picture Day is Tuesday, September 1st at LISA Rogers-Bentonville Middle High School!

Students will have their individual school pictures taken during the school day. Families can use the information in the attached flyers to view package options and order photos online through Strawbridge Studios using our school code PX521134.

Teacher Spotlight

Mr. Sabit is an experienced mathematics educator with more than 20 years of teaching experience. He has taught middle and high school mathematics in Azerbaijan, Laos, and the United States. He has extensive experience teaching international curricula, including IGCSE mathematics. In addition to teaching, he has served in school leadership roles, including assistant principal and principal. He is passionate about helping students develop strong mathematical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a love of learning.
