Get ready to READ, GROW, ACHIEVE, and CELEBRATE! 📚🎉

This year, Edgecombe County is launching Edgecombe Reads 2026–2027: Every Student. Every School. Every Book. This districtwide initiative is designed to build a culture of reading, increase student engagement, celebrate reading growth, and—most importantly—help every student see themselves as a successful reader.

🚌 A Reminder About Bus Safety & Expectations

Dear Baskerville Families,

As we begin the school year, please take a few minutes to review the attached school bus rules with your child. We want every student to have a safe, respectful, and positive experience while traveling to and from school.

Please remind your child that riding the school bus is a privilege and comes with the responsibility of following all bus rules and listening to the bus driver. Students are expected to demonstrate safe and respectful behavior at all times.

⚠️ Please emphasize to your child that failure to follow bus rules may result in disciplinary consequences, including suspension of bus riding privileges.

Our goal is not to remove transportation privileges but to ensure that every student, bus driver, and passenger remains safe to and from school each day.

Thank you for partnering with us and helping reinforce these expectations at home. Together, we can make sure our Bulldogs Ride Safe, Ride Respectfully, and Arrive Ready to Learn! 🐾💛
