🎓✨ Celebrating Our Graduates Near and Far ✨🎓

At Anchorway Christian University we believe every graduate deserves to be celebrated.

Today, we proudly recognize those who successfully completed their program but were unable to join us in person for our commencement ceremony. While you may not have been physically present, you were certainly with us in spirit, and your accomplishments are just as worthy of recognition.

We honor your commitment, perseverance, and the countless hours of hard work that brought you to this milestone. Your achievement is a testament to your dedication and purpose.

One of the greatest joys of this graduation season is seeing our graduates represented from across the United States and around the world. As our reach continues to expand internationally, we are reminded that God is truly enlarging our territory.

Happy Friday, everybody!

As we get closer to my second graduation on December 13th in Roswell, Georgia, I want to make room for 10 more people. Some of you have been watching quietly, thinking, “No one nominated me… maybe I’m not worthy.”

Let me remind you — yes, you are. Sometimes you have to nominate yourself, pat your own back, and give yourself the flowers you deserve. Many of you shy away from the spotlight, but this is your season to step into it. You’ve done incredible work, and that’s exactly what makes you deserving of an honorary doctorate.

Here are 10 qualifications we look for when considering honorees:
1. Proven leadership in community, business, ministry, or organizations.
2. Significant contributions to local, national, or global communities.
3. Innovation — creating programs, strategies, or ideas that influence others.
4. Professional excellence in your career or field of expertise.
5. Advocacy or empowerment for others and important causes.
6. Mentorship and guiding others in personal or professional growth.
7. Philanthropy through giving time, resources, or finances.
8. Spiritual impact and strong moral character that inspires others.
9. Longevity of service and consistent dedication over the years.
10. Global or cultural influence that extends beyond your immediate circle.

If you see yourself in these, don’t hesitate. You have the right to nominate yourself — or simply reach out and say, “Tashauna, I’d like more information.”

Please help me welcome Roderick Houston to Anchorway Christian University

Mr. Roderick Houston is a dynamic thought leader, certified public speaker, mentor, and life coach. He is a licensed Master Cosmetology Educator whose life’s work is rooted in faith, service, and empowerment. With a heart for making a meaningful, positive impact on current and future generations, Mr. Houston mentors and inspires young adult students to reach their career potential both personally and professionally.

In ministry, Mr. Houston has faithfully served in many capacities such as Deacon, Adult Sunday School Teacher, Baptism Ministry, New Members Orientation, and Public Outreach Ministry. With this privilege, he has been able, with the help and calling of God, to guide individuals through pivotal moments of their spiritual journeys. His God-inspired calling has provided him with the ability to teach with clarity, humility, and compassion—impacting countless lives.

Beyond the church and classroom, Mr. Houston is a certified public speaker, coach, trainer, and mentor. He has had the privilege of being certified, mentored, and coached by John C. Maxwell, Lisa Nichols, and Les Brown. He is known for his gift of oratory, intellect, and critical thinking—helping people take possession of their own minds, feeding the subconscious with a positive belief system that produces real transformation.

For more than 28 years, Mr. Houston has shared life with his beautiful wife, Mrs. Jennifer Houston, and together they have built successful business ventures that reflect honesty, integrity, perseverance, and purpose. His commitment to uplifting others continues to leave an indelible mark on everyone he encounters. His main goal in life is to positively increase the productivity in the lives of people he is blessed to come in contact with.

Lastly, Mr. Houston’s lifelong, transformative scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6:
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”
