Teaching is such a joy! These watercolors were done by Leanne Malicoat and Sue Hill. This is some of my all time favorite work by students. So proud of the hard work they have done!

This was a really fun gift to paint. I found a small victorian birth announcement at an estate sale that I referenced for this piece. This was my dear friends Great-Grandaughter and she is a beautiful little miracle. Blessings and love to this precious little girl!!!

Watercolor is my medium for this painting.

It's not the big things that give us joy. It is the little things.... the kind forwarded text...the many prayers.... the love of friends and then this.....

A trip to the post office just to be rewarded by the beautiful artwork created by a dear friend and student.. Yvonne Boswell. Small random acts of kindness can bring such joy
Texts are great to keep in contact but the written note...can bring joy over and over. I have my card in my fall display and look at it often. How very blessed to have friends!

Art takes on many forms. At my birthday celebration last night we were all given a styrofoam ball to create a piece of collage art. Crafting/creating with friends is a fabulous thing!!! Each creative friend showed their skill and uniqueness in creating a love/memory ball. No matter what your medium is .... art brings magic and fun to any event!!! Take time for art..... it's good for your soul!

I wanted to do bookmarks for the ladies in my book club. I had limited time before the luncheon so I did one large painting and then cut the bookmarks from the painting. Then I took a little time to make each one a little different. I titled them "Sunset on Watts Bar." A fun project you should definitely try!

Looking forward to the first Sketchbook Journaling Workshop Monday June 2-10:00-12:00 at Roane County Park. This is such a beautiful location. The theme of the workshop is "Gifts of the River". This is a Plein Aire Workshop and we will learn how to successfully journal outside with minimal supplies.

It is not easy to get a soft delicate look with watercolor. We have been studying watercolor glazing and Pat Hall with her beautiful rose and Sue Hill with her beautiful River Oats have done a beautiful job!
