Hey, I’m Heather!
I’m a city-girl who originally hails from Minneapolis, Minnesnowta. I became a Texan by marriage and am now a mama of one - soon to be two! I’ve been in Texas for seven years and love it. Got here as soon as I could ;-)
Admittedly, I am a word-nerd. I have a background in Communications and Mandarin Chinese. After traveling throughout Asia and living in China for two and a half years, I have experienced first hand what can happen when there is communication failure OR success!
After working for an international commodities trading company in East Asian exports, I worked on brand development and implementation for a tour company in Texas for many years crafting and writing the tours and training all-star tour guides to be the best communicators in the business.
Jess and I have been friends for years and have always dreamed of combining our creative and technical skills to empower others to really live out their dreams. I love brand development - and specifically my role with crafting messaging - because it helps our clients really find their voice and communicate effectively to the world who they are and all that they have to offer.

Domotech came to us in 2023 needing full brand and website development. Hi, I’m Jess.
I’m a wife, (soon to be momma), stepmom, cat, dog and horse mom living in Waco, Texas running a studio that serves companies around the world. I didn’t go to school for this and I definitely never thought I’d be running a branding agency. In fact, when I was growing up in rural Texas, the only thing that came to mind when I heard the word “branding” was the smell of cattle, burned hair, hard work and the rusty, blue squeeze chute at my Memom’s place. (If you know, you know)

It wasn’t until later in life while I was church planting in Salt Lake City, when the pastor asked if I could design a t-shirt for our college ministry. I loved the unexpected joy I found in creating it and wondered if I could possibly become a real designer, you know - like the ones that get paid. I fell head long in love with branding and started cutting my teeth in the world of design shortly after that.

Since then I’ve worked on brands for Fortune 100 companies and have been able to learn and build with some of the very best in the business.

In 2019 I launched Outpour and the rest is history.

Since then we’ve been building brands for companies from Waco to Alaska to Dubai to Brooklyn, New York and anywhere in between.

Your vision paints a future landscape, illustrating what your company aspires to build and achieve. It's a guiding star, motivating actions and aligning efforts toward a shared goal. Your mission, on the other hand, is a current-day compass. It outlines goals that you aim to achieve in order to bring your vision to life.

While a vision inspires transformation, a mission outlines the purposeful actions of your company's daily activities. Together, they form a strategic framework: the vision fuels ambition, and the mission fuels everyday purpose and meaning. A vision is about the destination; a mission is the journey's roadmap. Both are extremely important for developing an effective brand identity that attracts new customers and retains top talent.

Found out it’s National Day of the Cowgirl, so I dug some pictures up from the archives. The older I get the more thankful I am that when I decided I wanted to rodeo (at 6) and barrel race my parents supported me 100%. They didn’t have to. They weren’t horse people. They had every excuse not to, but they saw the passion in their little girls eyes and decided to pour gasoline on my fire.

In the following years we would travel the country going to rodeos and barrel races and making memories that will last a lifetime. They didn’t have to do it, but they did.

The ranch/rodeo/barrel horse world are full of amazing people and animals that helped shape me to be the woman I am today, and while I quit barrel racing 10 years ago, Im excited to announce I bought a horse about a year ago and training her has been a breath of fresh air to this little horse girls heart.

P.S. ~ to all the parents who aren’t horse people but have a little girl tugging on their arm constantly asking for a pony… it gets expensive, but buy the freaking pony. It will teach her hard work, how to care for someone else, responsibility, keep her out of trouble and will help her grow into an amazing young lady. Just do it. Buy the freaking pony.
