A little inspiration from a toy store in Copenhagen.

We are always looking for the small details, the beautiful materials, and the pieces that feel meaningful enough to bring into our children’s world.

Sometimes inspiration comes from the classroom. Sometimes it comes from a quiet moment far from home. 🌿

In our 3–5-year-old classroom, children are discovering how the world works and finding their place within it. 🌿
They learn through movement, repetition, their senses, and hands-on exploration. Science, mathematics, and language begin with real experiences—observing nature, sorting, counting, comparing, naming, storytelling, and asking questions—moving gently from the concrete toward the abstract.
Together, children learn to care for their environment, help one another, listen, share, and grow as part of a community. We observe and gently guide, trusting each child’s rhythm, curiosity, and natural desire to learn. 🤍

This week at camp, we explored colors in nature. 🌿🎨

The children searched for colors outside, mixed pigments, and created art using natural dyes and plant materials. It was a beautiful way to notice the little details around us and see how much color nature has to offer.

“A fallen tower is not a failure—it is an invitation to try again”

A Block Is Never Just a Block

Inspired by The Design of Childhood, by Alexandra Lange, blocks help children explore shape, balance, gravity, and creativity. As they build, tumble, and try again, children develop confidence, independence, and an understanding of the world.

Simple toys can hold the biggest ideas.

A look inside our toddler classroom for children ages 18 months to 2 1/2 years. 🌿

In these early years, children learn through movement, repetition, their senses, and connection. Our classroom is prepared with intention: natural materials, child-sized furniture, gentle rhythms, freedom to explore, and opportunities to say, “Let me do it myself.”
We observe, follow each child’s needs, and care for them with warmth and trust. 🤍

This week at camp, we went under the sea. 🌊
The children made ocean and sea animal crafts with paint, color, and lots of fun materials. We saw colorful fish, little ocean details, and so many different ideas come to life.
We loved seeing where the theme took them. 🐠

Welcome to our 2 to 4 year old classroom. 💛

This is the age when friendships begin, confidence grows, and curiosity leads the way. Every day is full of hands on learning, imaginative play, and little moments that help children become more independent.

A little paint, a few tiny pieces, and suddenly there are dragon eggs and woodland worlds.
Crafts like these are always fun because there is no one “right” way to make them. Every child took the project in their own direction, and that is what made each creation so fun to see. ✨

Healthy bodies start with healthy choices. 🍓🥑🍌
At our Gan, fresh, colorful snacks are part of our philosophy because healthy habits begin early. 💚
We love the message from Jen Silverman that small, everyday choices make a big difference.
