The books in this bundle are so good!
You know how there are some picture books that make you feel?
They tell beautiful, relatable stories and help you feel understood, normal, or like you can keep going even if something is hard.
You read them and just go, “yes. This.”
These books are like that.
I think every adult should keep a copy of What the Road Said by on their bedside. Reading it is like getting a pep talk by your best friend. But your best friend is .
It’s good!
Have you ever read a book that had an amazing moral but then wondered how to talk to your child about it after?
That’s where I come in. I provide guided conversations to help you make the universal stories in the book and make them personal.
I lead you in talking about big things in easy ways.
You see, when you talk about big things mixed in with all the fun stuff. It doesn’t feel heavy. It just feels like it’s life. Mostly fun with some more complicated parts. Then, back to the fun stuff.
Hopefully…that IS life!
You make it safe to talk about whatever is going on. The new girl at school. Feeling left out by your friends. Feeling scared but doing it anyway.
And, the complicated stuff doesn’t feel so hard because you have someone going through it alongside you. YOU!
If you swipe through these slides and think, “I wish I learned that as a kid.” This bundle is for you. Whether you buy it for your grandson, child or yourself, you’ll love these books and the conversations that follow. Not just that day, but continually.

In a few weeks, people will drive for miles to come and take pictures in front of the flowers in this garden when the flowers are at their peak.
All that beauty starts out like this.
Awkward.
Not looking like much.
Unrevealed.
The hardest part for the flower has already been done by breaking through the soil.
The beginning is always awkward and often difficult. You may not think your work looks like much.
It’s not because it’s not good or because you are not good.
It’s because it is unfinished.
Keep going.
We don’t get to pick when we bloom. We only get to choose to continue until we do. 🌷

When someone has been trying to “fix” themselves or do inner child healing, my response is that if you focus on strengthening these areas of your life…healing will come as a natural result.
All the traumas or neglect in your life led to one problem…not getting the skills or support you need to get the results you desire.
Problems come from relying on outdated coping mechanisms which keep getting you to the same place when you desperately want to change.
Everyone has areas where they are relying on coping mechanisms. Everyone.
Is the problem the way you fight or that you never learned to apologize and take responsibility? Relationship skills pillar
Is your back pain the reason why you can’t lose weight or did you learn that it’s not safe to trust doctors or going to the doctor made you weak? Professional help pillar
You don’t need someone to tell you what’s wrong with you. You need to start to notice where you are weak and seek our specific solutions. Where are you recreating patterns of chaos instead of getting what you want?
In today’s blog post, I share a specific example if you’d like to see a clearer picture.
When parents want to support their children going through a hard time, more than therapy, I suggest making sure they are being supported in all of these areas. Therapy is just one in the professional help pillar.
Children are natural survivors. Look for weakness and add support. Look for places where they are relying on coping mechanisms (crying, whining, lying, bullying, procrastinating, hiding) and see what skills they might be missing.
I teach these kind of skills in the Book Club Lessons. The Resiliency bundle and Social Skills bundle are available now.
Bundles on dealing with divorce and getting a new sibling are coming soon. They’ll make great gifts. 🎁
And, between you and me. Adults get a lot out of these bundles. If you’re drawn to them and don’t have kids don’t be shy. Your inner child will love it! 👼🏻

Pain is temporary. ALWAYS.
Discomfort leads to mastery if you just keep going.
Fear is a sign of where to go (if you want to be free) not where to avoid.
The road less travelled is not a road you can walk alone. You won’t get very far that way.
Having someone walk in front of you and beside you is necessary.
You don’t need someone to tell you what to do. You will know.
You need someone to hold you up, cheer you on, and strategize with so you can face and overcome the pain, discomfort and fear.
That’s what gets you further, faster.

When I turned 40, I made a decision.
I decided I was going to take dance classes again.
Really, I was deciding I was going to be happy no matter what.
Whether I got married or not.
Whether I had kids or not.
No more searching for the thing that would fix me (make me worthy).
I was going to simply do more of the things that made my soul come alive.
It changed everything.

Celebrating is my favorite.
Great moments from the week…going to see on Broadway
Having a weekend trip with my mom and getting us matching robes and slippers
New face masks that made my skin glow 💫
And, then there’s YOU!
The one who chose to practice happy habits and shines with new confidence.
The one who said yes to herself and is making BRAVE choices.
The one who realized that hitting her financial goal is only the beginning of what’s possible.
🥂 I love celebrating YOU. 🥂
We’re just getting started…
