An independent, progressive elementary school in Midcoast Maine, the Riley School was founded in 1972 to provide children with an individualized educational experience based on trusting the child as a learner, honoring childhood and building strong relationships within the community. With a child-teacher ratio of just 8 to 1, Riley is accredited by both the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and the Maine State Department of Education, and is a member of the Independent Schools Association of Northern New England.
