A few years ago, I wrote monthly articles for Transform Rockford. I was involved with that group for three years. Of all the ideas that have come along in the last 10 years, the only one that actually can transform Rockford is Rockford Promise. This is a group that is tirelessly raising money towards the ultimate goal of helping every graduate of Rockford Public Schools go to college.

I've long wanted to help in some way and today I can say that I will be involved in the effort. I'll be helping the organization's two-person staff with communications work as well as finding and reaching out to great District 205 graduates of the past to see if they want to help the next generation of students.
