Hope all is well with you! I wanted to thank you again for attending our “mom’s store” at our retreat weekend at Bishop Lane on October 7. If you recall, I purchased an alarm for my granddaughter to take with her since she walks to her bus stop. My inner voice had been very active lately about her safety walking to the bus stop in the morning. My daughter called me in tears on October 12 to thank me for buying it for Mackenzie-she had left the house and was approached from behind by a man who grabbed her and told her to give him her money. She told him she didn’t have any and he continued to grab at her to get her backpack-that’s when she hit her alarm and he took off running. I am so thankful our paths crossed and I was able to purchase the alarm for her. I hate to think what the outcome could have been. Her car was caught in the rising waters and she cut her seatbelt, punched the window out, and climbed on top of the car holding up the blinking red beacon until help arrived for her!
