CAPS Buisness has been hard at work! We have learned how to work with a client and present solutions to a problem, how to make a good first impression and conduct professional conversations, and learned about the SCRUM project management method, which we will use in some of our upcoming projects! We are excited to start working with our project partners soon!

Thank you, Osceola Regional Health Center, for hosting the CAPS North Cohort Networking Training. Sibley-Ocheyedan CAPS 2 associates led the training for Central Lyon, Boyden-Hull, and Sibley-Ocheyedan CAPS 1 associates. Learning to network well is a key professional skill.

Wrapped up the fall semester with the Siouxland CAPS Innovation Showcase. It’s always inspiring to hear about the connections made, professional skills developed, and projects completed in Northwest Iowa! A big shoutout to our CAPS Business associate, Mason, for helping kick off the Showcase with a great speech about leadership in CAPS.

Fall 2024 CAPS Medical Spotlights - CL CAPS Med logged over 50 hours observing various departments at Avera Merrill Pioneer Hospital and Avera Medical Group Rock Rapids, toured five local healthcare-related businesses, and completed three projects for the hospital. This great group of juniors showed tremendous growth in their professionalism and knowledge of the healthcare system and industry!
