What is your child’s favorite bedtime book?

Adults might find the repetitive text of picture books boring, but it helps children learn how to recognize words and process language.

Children see the patterns and remember the phrases in familiar stories, which is why they enjoy having the same books read to them again and again. Allowing them to anticipate what comes next and say the words out loud helps build early language skills. It also gives kids a fun opportunity to participate in storytelling!

Thank you to everyone who attended our **11th Back2School Block Party** and turned in your completed Hall Pass before leaving the event! We loved seeing so many families visit our community partners and take advantage of the free resources, health information, and activities available throughout the day.
