💜 IDES is showing up for Rock Hill Schools! 💜

Our IDES team was all smiles today as we joined educators across Rock Hill Schools for the first Dress Down Day of the year, proudly wearing our Rock Hill Schools Foundation shirts!

These shirts are more than just a fun way to dress down—they represent our commitment to supporting our students, our schools, and the educators who make a difference every single day. We are proud to stand together and invest in the future of Rock Hill Schools. 📚✨

There’s something special about seeing so many educators come together for a common purpose. We may serve in different roles, but we’re all part of the same team—and we’re ! 💜

Hello, Families!

Kona Ice is coming to Independence Elementary on Friday, September 4th! 🍧

Your child will be bringing home a small order form. To order Kona Ice, please:

Write your child’s name on the form.
Circle the size they would like.
Attach payment and return the form to school.
Online Payment Option

If you prefer to pay online, you may use the provided link or QR code instead of sending cash. The online payment link will remain available until 7:30 AM on Friday, September 4th.

When ordering online, please be sure to:

Select your child’s teacher from the drop-down menu.
Enter your child’s name.

Clarification on the Souvenir Kona Cup: If they do not already have the cup, they will purchase it for $6 dollars to receive the souvenir cup. If they already have the cup, they can bring it in on the day and have it refilled for $3.

If you pay online, you do not need to send the order form or any money to school with your child.

Best of all, Kona Ice will donate 20% of the sales to our 5th Grade Trip Fund! Let’s show our support and help our 5th graders reach their goal!

For safety, please keep your car tag hanging from your rearview mirror until after your child has entered your vehicle.

To keep the car rider line moving efficiently, student names are called twice. Thank you for your patience and for helping us keep our dismissal process safe and efficient!

🌟 Good Citizens in Action! 🌟

Our 2nd graders showed us what it truly means to be a Good Citizen! They noticed trash on the playground and, without being asked, took the initiative to pick it up and help keep our school grounds clean. 💚🧹

We are so proud of these young leaders for showing responsibility, teamwork, and school pride—and for understanding that sometimes being a good citizen simply means seeing something that needs to be done and doing it! 👏✨

💙❤️ What a wonderful morning at Independence Elementary! ❤️💙

We hosted our Title 1/Boo-Hoo Yahoo
Breakfast this morning, and we were thrilled to welcome about 50 kindergarten parents to our school! 🥹☕️

We spent time together talking about all things kindergarten—answering questions, sharing important information, learning more about our school, and helping our families feel prepared and connected as their little ones begin this exciting new chapter.

Thank you to all of our families who joined us! We are so grateful for the opportunity to partner with you and are excited to welcome our newest Patriots to Independence Elementary! ❤️💙
