National Night Out is BACK! πππ
The Dixon Police Department is excited to host our 3rd Annual National Night Out!
Join us on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, beginning at 5:00 PM at the Dixon Park District Facility on Washington Avenue for an evening of fun, community, and family-friendly activities. Be sure to check out our Touch a Truck event, visit booths hosted by our amazing community partners, and spend time getting to know the people who help make Dixon a great place to live.
Bring your family, invite your friends, and come enjoy a great evening with us. We canβt wait to see you there!

π©οΈStorms are in the forecast today, but we're still handing out meals for the Let's Feed Our Children program from 12-12:30 p.m. at all of our regular sites! Children who walk or ride to a site, please make sure to check with a trusted adult first to be sure it's safe to head out. Please share this so others know, and we'll do our best to serve everyone who needs meals today. Stay safe!

Yesterday, Miss Kim had a great home visit with one of her families. They used a small pool outside to go fishing! π£While the boys were having a great time, they were also developing important skills such as hand-eye coordination, color recognition, turn-taking, and problem-solving. π π
This is one of the many ways our Early Head Start Home-Based program helps children learn and grow through everyday experiences, while supporting parents as their child's first and most important teacher.
