📮 Today is the day! 📮

Vote YES on the RPS referendum —it's a vital step for our kids and our
community. This funding is crucial to prevent cuts to essential curricular and
extracurricular programs, including arts and music, and to avoid school closures and
boundary changes. Years of state underfunding have created a significant deficit,
threatening our students' education and well-being. By supporting this referendum, we can foster economic growth and stability in our community, ensuring that we retain our dedicated teachers and counselors who make a difference every day.

Together, let's secure a brighter future for our children and protect the programs that help them thrive. ✨

🎶 Music is an essential aspect of education with studies showing music education associated with brain development, improved learning in other subjects and higher test scores.

School music programs are often the first and sometimes only exposure students have to music. However, arts and music - including middle school band and orchestra - will potentially be lost without the crucial funding of the RPS Ignite Referendum.

RPS Graduate Walk Through 2019 11/03/2024

An important tradition for Rochester Public Schools, every spring graduating seniors don their caps and gowns and return to their elementary and middle schools to walk through the halls. The almost-graduates have a chance to reflect on the teachers, classes and friends that helped them grow to this important graduation day. Younger students excitedly cheer as they imagine their own futures.

Without the funding needed in this vital referendum, some students will not have an elementary school to return to during their walk. Some of the teachers that shaped them into who have they become will gone. And the programs that helped them learn won’t be an option for the kids coming next.

Let’s keep our schools vibrant, our traditions alive and the kids of our community as a priority.
