Our soaring eagles are getting ready for National Bike, Walk, and Roll to School Day on May 6. Kids who indicated that they are participating all got bike helmets and reflectors to keep them safe while biking and scootering! Huge shout out to the Injury Free Coalition for Kids of Rochester for coming to school on Tuesday to fit kids for their helmets and for donating nearly 30 helmets to keep our kiddos safe!

We are proud to recognize Ms. Lais, a speech teacher at Dr. David and Ruth Anderson School No. 16, on receiving a Golden Apple Award from News 8 WROC Rochester

Ms. Lais was nominated for the impact she made in Mikey’s life, helping him say his first complete sentence: “I feel happy.” A moment that meant everything not only to Ms. Lais, but to Mikey and his family.

This is the kind of impact our educators make every single day.

Be sure to tune in to News 8 tonight to see Ms. Lais recognized for the difference she continues to make in the lives of her students.

Congratulations, Ms. Lais!
