Hello Everyone! I just received word from our home office that I must make this page into a closed group. That being said, only Modern Woodmen members will be allowed to view this page and/or post to it. This is due to "keeping our members, especially children, safe." I thank you all for your interest in our youth service club and especially this page. If you'd like to become a Modern Woodmen member so that you can still see what's going on in my youth service club and/or be invited to camp activities, you can contact me directly on my personal page and I will get you in contact with an area representative that can help you with that. Remember, Modern Woodmen is a fraternal financial group that sells life insurance, annuities, and retirement plans. If you know of child age 12+ that would be interested in joining our club, it costs less than $4 a month and it comes with a life insurance policy of $10,000. As you can see from our page, we do lots of fun things in our community to help others. Help your child become a caring member of our society by enrolling them in our club today!

Mark your calendar for Saturday, January 11, 2014. We will be Sharing with Seniors at Golden Living Center East, Rochester. Join us from 10-11:30 AM to play Bingo with the residents. We'll share a treat with the residents, too! What shall we bring? Ice cream? Cookies? Brownies? Fresh fruit? Let's hear your ideas! Post below.
November 11, 2014, is Veterans Day. Originally Armistice Day, commemorating the signing of the agreement that ended WWI at 11:00 AM on 11/11/1918, this federal holiday was changed to Veterans Day in 1954. At that time, it became a day to honor all the men and women who have served in the armed forces of the United States. We'll be doing a project called Honoring Those Who Serve. What are your ideas on how we can show our gratitude and appreciation to the men and women of the armed forces? Please comment below.
October 25, 2014, is Make A Difference Day! This day millions of Americans will unite in a common mission to improve the lives of others. This undertaking includes revitalizing community centers, rehabilitating parks, improving low-income homes, creating community art projects, mentoring, serving meals, developing community gardens, and much more. What are your ideas for a project? Comment below.
September 2014 will be our annual Plant A Tree project, partnering with RNeighbors. Plan to get a little dirty! More information to come.
August will be our Family Fun project. What would you enjoy doing with your family? Picnic? Bowling? Biking? Hiking? Let's hear your ideas! Comment below.
July will be our Educational Experience! Where would you like to go on a field trip? We must stay within 100 miles of Rochester. I'd love to hear your suggestions. Comment below.
Do you have an idea for a Matching Fund Project? Maybe June is the month we can find a non-profit organization in Rochester to partner with and match up to $500 of the fundraising efforts! Keep your ears open, and let me know if you have some ideas on who to help. Comment below.
