Dear friends of Judy Woo,

I'm Judy's husband Russell, and it grieves me deeply to tell you that Judy passed away from cancer yesterday. She died peacefully at home, with her family at her side.

Judy was a very private person, and didn't want her having cancer known outside the circle of her closest friends.She wanted to be cremated and didn't want a funeral, and I will of course honor her wishes. I will have a memorial service for you, which I'll plan when the grief diminishes, and will be held in Oakland. I'll let you know.
