If there’s one thing I could say to my students that could change their learning trajectory in the best of ways it would be to push through the messy middle, stop worrying about how others perceive you, and own the fact that not everything you make is going to be good and that it’s ok to be bad at anything when you’re in the process of learning. (Which is every single moment!)
So many times I’ve seen artists with promise give up because they’ve judged themselves too harshly in the middle of making a painting.
We don’t do this in other areas of our lives. We don’t judge a meal when we’ve just chopped up the ingredients or when it’s half cooked. We taste it and add a little salt or some extra garlic. Make our little tweaks until it’s just right.
Let’s stop judging ourselves in the middle of our creative process ok? ❤️🎨🌈

this piano is available. I don’t know anything about it other than it is beautiful. Before purchasing you should always have a Piano Technician look at it to evaluate the condition for playing. Call Franine at 585-750-0123 if interested!
